Carte/Card

Noël glacé / Chilled Christmas

img_3626

Bonjour !

Hello !

I hope you had a good WE! It is still a mix of different challenges that inspired me for these two cards! Indeed, I wanted to play with the “Soft” of Casology, the “Chill ” of Inkspirational, the “Christmas with Glitter / Shimmer” of Time OUT, and the “Christmas” in general!

The word “Soft” immediately reminded me of the snow (probably due to the fact that I’m only doing Christmas projects right now!). Pines all white came to my mind. To make the scene even softer I used a pastel blue paper and especially Vellum.

I die cut a rectangle of Vellum, then I stamped the fir trees on it with white ink and masking technique. With a stencil I added the flakes then I created the floor with a microfiber cloth around my finger and white ink.

To finish and give even more the effect of cold, I brushed some Wink of Stella on all the white parts. It is difficult to see on the photo this shimmering effect.

For the assembly of the card, I chose a white paper with texture and slightly iridescent. On this double card I adhered a rectangle of blue paper and then over the Vellum with adhesive tape. I then cut out a frame in the same blue paper and I stuck it around the Vellum. Not only does it bring out the scene, like a painting, but it allowed me to hide the adhesive tape of the Vellum. To finish I stamped the sentiment.

Since I stamped everything using the MISTI, I took the opportunity to make a second card at the same time! As I stamped a fir tree, I put some powder with glitter then I heat embossed. I repeated this operation for each fir and for the ground.

For the assembly I used the same method as for the first card but with silver paper for the frame and silver powder for the sentiment. So, I got this frosted scene effect, chilled by the cold!

And Voilà ! A bit long to do (because of the masking) but I am quite happy with the result (the Vellum warps a bit on the first card).
